Why the best colourist in the inner west has a wall full of trophies!

a few of our awards

A selection of the trophies

Let’s talk about the trophies.

Not to brag. But because nobody ever explains what they actually mean… And i how hard they are to get!

There’s a wall in our Glebe salon. On it — over 15 national titles. Over 50 state titles. International wins from the UK, Spain and the USA. A Medal of Honour. A One Shot trophy. 2 Big Shot trophy’s.

SO WHAT ARE THESE AWARDS?

The two big ones are the AHIA and the AHFA. These are NOT people’s choice awards. NOT Instagram popularity contests. NOT voted on by clients clicking a link.

2 NAFA awards

mel and Stevie won

Judged by international experts from the UK, Europe and the USA. People at the very top of this industry globally. To win? You have to be better than everyone else in the country in that year. We’ve done that over 15 times nationally.

THE MEDAL OF HONOUR. THIS ONE IS SPECIAL.

In 2024 the AHIA introduced the Medal of Honour — for hairdressers who win the same national category THREE YEARS IN A ROW. Stevie got one. Master Colourist of the Year. Three years straight. MAKES A MASSIVE DIFFERENCE knowing your colourist has that.

BUT IT’S NOT JUST STEVIE.

Ella, Harrison, Leanne, Joey, Paulo — all nationally recognised. This is a salon where excellence is the standard from the top of the team to the apprentices just starting out.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER TO YOU?

Not ego. Evidence. When you sit in our chair in Glebe you’re getting colour done by people who are obsessed with the craft. Right here in the inner west. WINNERS for a reason . We can collour hair.
